Glenn Adams

Glenn Adams is a recipient of the Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, Silver Buffalo, Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, National Alumnus of the Year, and the Celtic Cross from the National Association of Presbyterian Scouters. He is a James West Fellow and a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow. Adams has served Longhorn Council as President and Council Commissioner, and formerly served as president of the National Eagle Scout Association and established the Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams National Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award. He has more than 40 years of experience in the oil, gas, and energy fields, including serving as a president, owner, and CEO of several companies he founded. Adams has served on the boards of Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, Fort Worth Petroleum Club, and First Presbyterian Church Fort Worth.
David Alexander

David Alexander is a Baden-Powell Fellow, Summit Bechtel Reserve philanthropist, and recipient of the Silver Buffalo and Distinguished Eagle Scout Award. He is the founder of Caljet, one of the largest independent motor fuels terminals in the U.S. He has served the Arizona Petroleum Marketers Association, Teen Lifeline, and American Heart Association. A triathlete who has completed hundreds of races, Alexander has also mentored the women’s triathlon team at Arizona State University.
Bray Barnes

Director, Global Security Innovative Strategies

Bray Barnes is a recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, Silver Buffalo, and Learning for Life Distinguished Service Award. He received the Messengers of Peace Hero award from the royal family of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and he’s a life member of the 101st Airborne Association and Vietnam Veterans Association. Barnes serves as a senior fellow for the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils, a nonpartisan network of corporate CEOs, university presidents, and national laboratory directors. He has also served as a senior executive for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and as the Chief Human Capital Officer and has two U.S. presidential appointments.
Scott Beckett

Scott Beckett

Partner, New Vista Global Leadership

Scott Beckett is a Silver Buffalo, Silver Antelope, and Silver Beaver honoree, as well as an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. He served the 2019 World Scout Jamboree and 2023 National Scout Jamboree as Program Chairperson. Professionally, he is a management consultant serving the executives and managers of the world’s largest and best-run organizations. He has served as vice chair of American Hiking Society, and he is an advisory board member of the Cottonwood Institute, which connects middle and high school students with nature and inspires them to protect it.

Laurie Champion has received the Silver Buffalo, Commissioner Arrowhead Honor, Silver Beaver, District Award of Merit, and Scouter’s Training Award. She has served as the Michigan Crossroads Council president and on numerous BSA committees and groups, including the National Program Safety Subcommittee, Insurance Advisory Group, National Governance Task Force and Scouts BSA Committee. Champion is a managing director of Marsh & McLennan, a leading risk management firm; a member of the Risk & Insurance Management Society; and a chartered property casualty underwriter. She volunteers for the risk management working group for the city of Saline, Michigan.
Keith Clark

Keith Clark

Chairman, Shumaker Williams, P.C.

Keith Clark is a Silver Buffalo honoree and a Learning for Life’s Russell C. Howard Award recipient. He was Operations Chief for the 2010 and 2013 National Jamborees. He is a past Council, Area, and Northeast Region President. He has managed Shumaker Williams, P.C. since 1972; it was named in Fortune magazine’s Top Ranking Law Firms. Clark has also been named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in Business, Corporate, Banking and Non-Profit Organizations. He is a member of the National Panel of Commercial Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association and has been general counsel with the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers and the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Associations for four decades.
Gary Crum

Gary Crum

Retired Bank President

Gary Crum is a Silver Buffalo and Silver Antelope honoree. He has volunteered at several Scout Jamborees, including serving as subcamp chief at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree and basecamp chief at the 2017 National Scout Jamboree. Crum has served on boards with the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance Board, Laramie Lions Club, State of Wyoming Board of Education, State of Wyoming Banking Board, and Wyoming Bankers’ Association. He has also been involved in the American Bankers Association and the Western States Education Foundation. Crum served as past Western Region President and is a former Division 1 College Assistant Football Coach who helped win a National Championship in 1984.
Charles Dahlquist

Charles Dahlquist

Charles Dahlquist served as the BSA’s 10th national commissioner and was chairman of BSA’s National Court of Honor. He is a recipient of the Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and Silver Buffalo. His law firm is the largest in Utah; he has also served as director of the American Health Lawyers Association. He was the former honorary consul of the Federal Republic of Germany and received the Order of Merit from their former president for his efforts in strengthening relations between the United States and Germany.
Kaleen Deatherage

Kaleen Deatherage is a Silver Antelope and Silver Beaver honoree and has chaired and serves on the board of the Cascade Pacific Council. She has led training courses at Philmont Training Center to empower women in Scouting and chairs the organization’s Scouts BSA task force on girls and women equity and inclusion. With 25 years in the nonprofit sector, she has served as the executive director of outdoor recreation and youth serving organizations including the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Project POOCH, and the Mazamas.

Devang Desai is a Silver Beaver, Silver Buffalo, and NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award honoree. He has also been named a Super Lawyer in Florida. Desai currently serves as a member of the University of Miami Board of Trustees and is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation Board.

He has more than 25 years of private investment experience, completing over $50 billion in transactions. He was recognized as the 2018 Outstanding Philanthropist for AFP Greater Dallas Chapter’s National Philanthropy Day.

Gordon Gee is a NESA Distinguished Eagle Scout and Mountaineer Area Council Distinguished Citizen honoree. He has held more university presidencies than any other American, including West Virginia University, the Ohio State University, Vanderbilt University, Brown University, and the University of Colorado. He is a fellow for the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Gee has also served as director of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, 4-H Council, and American Council on Education.
Robert Greene

Robert Greene is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. He has led the largest network of diverse-owned alternative asset class investment firms and has helped the network grow to more than 165 member firms. Greene has been involved in the National INROADS Alumni Association and has served on boards for Travelport Inc., Transworld Systems Inc., Synergy Infrastructure Holdings, Starboard Value Acquisition Corporation, and the Virginia Retirement System. He was recognized as one of the most influential Black corporate directors in the nation by Savoy magazine.
Jennifer Hancock

Jennifer Hancock is a recipient of the Silver Buffalo, Silver Antelope, Silver Beaver, International Scouters Award, the Area and Region Venturing Leadership Awards, and the Silver Fox awarded by Scouts Canada. She has served in various roles in the organization including national program chair, national Venturing chair and the national operations committee. She works as attorney and guardian ad-litem, representing children and young parents in litigation regarding parental rights, child support, and custody issues. She volunteers with March of Dimes, American Medical Association, and also serves on the board of the World Scout Foundation.

Lyle Knight is a Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and Silver Buffalo honoree. He is the retired CEO of First Interstate Bank System (FIBK). Knight has served as Vice President of the Federal Advisory Council during the Chairman Bernanke years. Knight has also been a member of five corporate boards of directors. Knight has just stepped down as Chairman of the board of trustees of Rocky Mountain College. He has served on numerous  community boards and he received the Citizen of the Year honor in Mesa, Arizona. He has also received the Heart of the Community Award from the American Heart Association. He is a graduate of the University of Utah, Pacific Coast Banking School and he holds an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Rocky Mountain College. He is a Viet Nam Veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.

Anne-Marie Lamarche is a Silver Beaver and Silver Antelope recipient. She has served as council president and area president and was the inaugural chair of National Service Territory 3. She worked for 35 years in marketing strategy and new product development. Lamarche also volunteered for 25 years in the Piedmont (California) Unified School District, for which she and her husband were co-recipients of the Art Hecht Volunteer Award. She served on Stanford University’s athletic board and was elected to Stanford
Associates, recognizing top volunteers. Lamarche serves at the national, regional, and local levels for Garden Club of America, for which she is also a photography judge.
Vincent LaPadula

Vincent La Padula

CEO, Workplace Wealth Solutions

Vince La Padula is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. A 20-year veteran of J.P. Morgan Chase, he currently serves as the CEO of Workplace Wealth Solutions and sits on the Private Bank Operating Committee. La Padula has served two New York City mayors, culminating as senior advisor for policy for Michael Bloomberg. He is a board member of Global Shares, an Ireland-based equity stock plan company and Investors Heritage Corporation, a privately held insurance company. He recently created a scholarship to enable Scouts to attend Philmont Scout Ranch. He has two Eagle Scout sons.

Frank McAllister

Founder and CFO, Weather Stream Inc.

Frank McAllister has received the NESA Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and Silver Buffalo. He is a Vigil Honor Order of the Arrow member and James E. West fellow. He chaired BSA’s audit committee and the National Council Conference on Sustainability and is the benefactor of the McAllister Family Sustainability Challenge Trail at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. He was a former chairman or director of the National Mining Association, Copper Development Association, and Council of the Americas. McAllister is one of the founders of Weather Stream Inc., a weather data/satellite instrument company in Boulder, CO.
Ricky Mason

Ricky Mason

Partner, Restructuring and Finance, Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz

Ricky Mason is a Silver Buffalo honoree and a Distinguished Eagle Scout. He has had leading roles in many of the largest and most complex bankruptcies and restructurings in the United States, including as Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee of Local Councils in the Boy Scouts of America Chapter 11. He currently serves as the vice chair of the National Bankruptcy Conference, whose primary purpose is to advise the U.S. Congress on bankruptcy law. With his wife, Beth, and their two children, Mason founded the Mason Civic League, a charity dedicated to providing educational, art, and civic support in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Andrew Miller is a Silver Buffalo, Silver Antelope, and National Venturing Leadership Award recipient. He has served as the chair of the BSA Alumni Association and vice chair of program development. Miller created a National Camping School section focused on first-year camper programs. His experience spans many industries, with a focus on space, defense, and industrials. He has led government sales strategy, operations improvement, due diligence, and business cost restructuring projects.
Dave Moody

Dave Moody

Owner, CD Moody Construction Co.

Dave Moody has been involved in Scouting for more than 50 years. Some of his company’s projects have included Centennial Olympic Stadium, Morehouse College Leadership Center, Turner Field, and State Farm Arena. He has served as director of Citizens Trust Bank, Hughes Spalding Hospital Foundation, State of Georgia Homeless Housing Trust Fund, and Morehouse College Business Advisory Board. He has endowed scholarships at Morehouse College, Howard University, and Central State University.
Ellie Morrison

Ellie Morrison

Ellie Morrison, a Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and Silver Buffalo recipient, served as the 11th national commissioner of the BSA and chaired a team that created the Award of Excellence for Commissioner Unit Service. She also chaired BSA’s New Unit Task Force, which wrote the Unit Performance Guide, the accepted best way of organizing new units. Morrison also served as the first chair of the New Member Coordinator Task Force, which has helped new Scouting families feel welcomed into Scouting.
Jose Nino

Jose Nino is a Silver Beaver, Silver Buffalo, and Vale la Pena Scouting Service Award honoree. He is Wood Badge-trained and was a staff member of several National Jamborees. He was chairman of Scoutreach and has been a member of various committees. He is considered one of the most influential Hispanic businessmen in the U.S., having served on the board of the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Council, and the Hispanic Council International Relations. He is founder of the National Hispanic Roofers Association and founding member/president of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, which he helped grow to over 258 chambers and today represents over 4 million businesses.

R. Doyle Parrish is a Silver Beaver recipient and a James E. West fellow. He has been responsible for multimillion-dollar property management and has helped in the development and operation of hotels since 1985. Parrish has served as the director of the University of North Carolina Board of Governors, the Hospitality Alliance of North Carolina, the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association, and the North Carolina Travel and Tourism Coalition. He has also received the Marriott Partnership Circle Award.
Lou Paulson

Lou Paulson

Director, CA Public Employment Relations Board

Lou Paulson is a NESA Distinguished Eagle Scout, Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, Silver Buffalo, and Alumnus of the Year recipient. He has a 34-year career in the fire service, which includes serving as president of the California Professional Firefighters, representing more than 30,000 local, state, and federal firefighters. Paulson has received the Peggy Brown Award for Social Justice and the Acts of Leadership Award from U.C. Berkeley Labor Center. He is a member of the California Public Employment Relations Board and on the Board of Directors for the National Fire Protection Association.
Jeanette Prenger

Jeanette Prenger is a recipient of the Silver Beaver, Vale la Pena Scouting Service Award and the Whitney M. Young Jr. Award. She has served as a director for the Heart of America Council and the vice president of Urban Scouting. She leads ECCO Select, one of the top 100 Hispanic Businesses in the U.S. She has served as the Chair of The Latino Coalition, VisitKC (KC Convention and Visitors Association) and SOCI (Systems of Care Initiative) as well as past chair of Park University, Junior Achievement of Kansas City, and the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Chamber. Prenger also serves on the board of University of Missouri Kansas City, The Police Foundation of Kansas City, Junior Achievement USA, and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Business Taubman Institute.

Jacob Pruitt is head of Fidelity’s National Charitable Services business unit and president of Fidelity Charitable. He has led strategy and business development for several large asset management firms. Pruitt has served on several nonprofit boards, including the University of Colorado Foundation, the Colorado Springs Health Foundation, Teach for America, and the U.S. Impact Investing Alliance. Pruitt is a decorated U.S. Marine Corps veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and has been an honorary commander for the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Frank Ramirez has focused on increasing diversity and inclusion across the BSA and in creating materials to reach non-legacy constituencies. He has provided guidance in the development of culturally relevant Spanishlanguage training materials for adults and youth. He has received the Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and NESA Distinguished Eagle Award. Ramirez is the co-founder of a nonprofit entrepreneurship organization based in Palo Alto, California, which helps launch Latino-owned businesses and startups.
Hector Tico Perez

Tico Perez

Founding Principal, Mas Communications; Shareholder, Gunster Law Firm

Hector “Tico” Perez was the BSA’s ninth national commissioner. He has received the NESA Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, the Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, Silver Buffalo, and the Order of the Arrow’s Distinguished Service Award. He has often been featured as a talk show analyst on the nationally syndicated “Daily Buzz,” as well as his own show, “Talkin’ With Tico,” on WDBO and a TV show on WTMO. Perez has been named as one of the most influential people in Florida by multiple magazines. He has also received the Greater Orlando Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Leader Award.
Jim Rogers

Jim Rogers

Retired President & CEO, Kampgrounds of America

Jim Rogers has received the Silver Antelope, Silver Buffalo, and the NESA Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, and he and his wife, Sandy, hosted the 2017 Report to the Nation. He is also a James E. West fellow. He worked in various management positions at Caesar’s Entertainment and Harrah’s Reno before becoming president and CEO of Kampgrounds of America (KOA). Rogers has served on the Outdoor Recreation Advisory Committee for the National Park Service and the Advisory Committee for KOA Care Camps, and is a Trustee for the National Automobile Museum. He has been engaged with the Nevada Area Council in leadership roles for the past 30 years.
Nathan Rosenberg

Nathan Rosenberg

Nathan Rosenberg is a Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and Silver Buffalo honoree. He is also a James E. West fellow and was awarded the District Award Merit. He is a founding partner of Insigniam and founded two other successful enterprises and served as CEO of four corporations. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and a naval aviator, he served as the executive support officer to the Secretary of Defense and the national security advisor to the U.S. Senate majority leader. He is a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development and the Falcon Foundation.
Bill Rosner

Retired Chief Human Resource Officer, PNC Financial Corp.

Bill Rosner is a recipient of the Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, Silver Buffalo, and the Whitney M. Young Jr. Award. He is also a Baden-Powell fellow and a member of the President’s Leadership Council and the Order of the Condor. He chaired the task force that introduced girls into the BSA’s core programs. He and his wife, Linda, served as host couple to the Report to the Nation delegation in 2017. Prior to PNC, Rosner was SVP HR at Chase in New York and London. He is a graduate of Northwestern’s engineering program and was named an FC Austin Scholar as he earned his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School. Rosner also served on the Kellogg Advisory Council and on the Board of Henderson Brothers Inc.

Jim Ryffel is founder and president of Woodcrest Capital L.L.C. and Woodcrest Enterprises Inc., which he founded in 1981 to pursue investment acquisition opportunities in commercial real estate. Through Woodcrest Capital, he is a participant in strategic investing for the oil and gas, media, entertainment, technology, software, healthcare, ranching, and banking industries. He holds an MBA Degree and Ranch Management Certification from Texas Christian University. He is the benefactor and founder of the Ryffel Entrepreneurship Center at TCU, as well as the founder of Camp Eagle, a Christian camp in the Texas Hill Country and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Alison Schuler

Alison Schuler is a Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and Silver Buffalo honoree as well as a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. She was instrumental in the BSA’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy strategies and negotiations and chairs the BSA Mission, Reputation & Strategy Committee. She was regularly featured in Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers lists, and other professional recognitions. Schuler has also been involved in, among others, her local council; the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History; Rotary Club of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Harvard Alumni Association; National Diabetes Association; Haverland Carter Lifestyle Group; and Albuquerque Astronomical Society.

W. David Scott has led a multinational conglomerate and privately owned holding company, with investment interests in energy, agricultural, telecommunication, banking, and real estate segments. Scott has served on several boards, including MFA Financial, Inc.; Mid-American Energy; Berkshire Hathaway Home Services; and Investors Real Estate Trust. He has been involved in Brownell-Talbot Schools, the Strategic Air & Space Museum, Hastings College & Foundation, Children’s Scholarship Fund, Governor of the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation, Share Good & Share Omaha Boards, and Nebraska Game & Parks Foundation.
Michael Sears

Michael Sears

Director of Leadership Innovation, Boeing Leadership Innovation Laboratory, U.S. Naval Academy

Michael Sears has been a Scouting volunteer at the pack, troop, and local council levels since 2004. His father served on a BSA council board in the South in the sixties, and Sears, his brother, and son are all Eagle Scouts and members of the Order of the Arrow. Sears served on the staff of the 2023 National Jamboree. He began his career in the U.S. Marine Corps as an aviator and intelligence officer. He has been a venture capitalist, entrepreneur, and CEO of several technology companies, and he holds three U.S. patents. He served on the board of Visitors of Stanford Law School. He teaches ethical leadership at the undergraduate level and directs a leadership innovation laboratory that uses cutting-edge technologies to empower his colleagues to teach students how to be leaders of character.

Max Siegel has served as president of global operations at Dale Earnhardt Inc., CEO of USA Track & Field, and manager of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program. He has received the North Carolina Motorsports Association Industry Award; the SBJ All In: Leaders in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and the Sports Inclusion Conference Top Diverse Leaders in Sports honor. Siegel serves as a member of the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) Board of Directors; the NASCAR Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee; the Notre Dame University Law School Advisory Council; and the Martin University Board of Trustees. He has served as a director on the boards of USA Track & Field and the USA Swimming Foundation.
Larry Simkins

Larry Simkins is a Distinguished Eagle Scout. He led the Washington Companies as CEO for over two decades retiring in 2022. The Washington Companies are an international group of privately-owned companies transacting in rail and marine transportation, mining, ship building, construction, and aviation products. He serves as a trustee at Gonzaga University and is a former director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

Wesley Smith

Wesley Smith has received the Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and Silver Buffalo. He’s a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow and a James E. West fellow. At Dole, he held senior positions in finance, marketing, operations, and general management in California, Hawaii, and Honduras. Smith has also served as president of the Juice Products Association, Food Products Association, and Pineapple Growers of Hawaii.

Scott Sorrels is the 12th national commissioner of the BSA. He’s a Silver Buffalo and NESA Distinguished Eagle Scout recipient, and he served as co-chair of the 2019 World Scout Jamboree. He has represented financial institutions and their fiduciaries involving internal investigations, class and derivative litigation, and the defense of regulatory enforcement, civil litigation, and criminal prosecutions. Sorrels has been named to the Best Lawyers in America list and has received the Justice Robert Benham Award for Community Service from the State Bar of Georgia. He also is the recipient of the Bronze Wolf Award from the World Organization of the Scouting Movement.

Thear Suzuki immigrated to the U.S. largely because of her sponsoring organization and secured her U.S. citizenship with the help of Exploring Post #111. Suzuki was named one of North Texas’ most powerful business leaders and a Presidential Leadership Scholar. She also received the Corporate Excellence in Leadership Award from D CEO magazine.
