Senior Digital Producer

Position: Senior Digital Producer
Position location: Irving, Texas (TX)
Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and strategic Senior Digital Producer to grow and engage our audience of youth, parents, and volunteers with fresh and relevant digital products and turnkey digital media assets that support Scouting America’s goals and initiatives. This role conceptualizes, produces, and presents media solutions to stakeholders, ensuring that projects effectively advance their objectives.

The producer will build strong partnerships to proactively identify and address communications needs throughout the organization. They manage communications projects from concept to completion, applying advanced technical and creative skills to deliver high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities include providing regular project updates, collaborating with management and clients to set clear expectations, and ensuring alignment with business priorities.

This position calls for a creative and results-oriented individual who can develop, implement, and optimize multimedia content that resonates with our diverse audiences. The ideal candidate demonstrates an advanced understanding of business strategy, maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, and brings extensive experience in producing media assets for interactive publications as well as serving as a video production manager. This position reports the the Director, Editorial Operations.

  • Develops full project specifications for digital communications projects. Applies specific skills including, as needed, preproduction; review editorial content for media production assessment; permissions; direct video and photo asset production; production manager for large scale video shoots; program digital content modules (i.e., eLearning or magazine content) with relevant tools.
  • Plays an active role in developing engaging, informative, and visually appealing content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, X, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Collaborates with the entire Scouting America team to produce high-quality, engaging, brand-consistent materials. Participates in content creation, both on-camera and off, when needed.
  • Fosters and nurtures a vibrant online community by actively engaging with followers, responding to inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner. Monitor social media channels for relevant conversations, trends, and opportunities to participate in discussions. Mobilizes members, alumni, and fans to grow and build awareness, interest, and engagement with Scouting.
  • Acts as a champion for data, audience insights, and platform behavior shifts. Shares key performance indicators (KPIs), best practices, and recap reports with executives and stakeholders to demonstrate channel health, community engagement, and identify opportunities for growth. Continuously analyzes data to optimize and demonstrate ROI to stakeholders.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Competencies
  • Knowledge of:  Video production, photography, graphic design, audio editing, and content management systems (CMS); project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and communication; target audiences, creating messaging, and measuring results; organization’s mission, goals, and brand guidelines.
  • Skill in: Using basic editing software; content management systems and eLearning authoring tools; written and verbal communication to collaborate with various stakeholders; project management, account management, publishing; presentations and meeting facilitation.
  • Ability to: Plan, budget, schedule, and track projects effectively; identify and resolve issues effectively; meet deadlines and work efficiently; manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously; develop and suggest innovative media solutions; analyze information and make sound decisions; collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders; learn new skills and adjust to changing priorities; produce high-quality work that meets brand standards.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in ­­­­­producing media assets for interactive publications and video production management.
  • Must pass a criminal history background check.
